Sant'Angelo

Afternoon all and welcome back to a sizzling hot Ischia. The crickets (apologies to any Australian visitors for mentioning this word today) are rattling away outside and having just consulted the thermometer I can tell you that right now at 4:30pm it's 35° Celcius (95° Fahrenheit) and we won't go below 27°C (81°F) at any stage this evening. Conditions will stay like this until Sunday but the start of next week looks like it might bring a change with cooler temperatures and some rainfall also expected. Anyone who fancies a drink tonight you'd do worse than making your way to the village of Fontana where they're holding the "Wine and Sausage Festival" (Sagra del vino e Sauciciatta) which is always good fun.
