 Chiesa di Santa Maria della Croce, Lacco Ameno Ciao ragazzi! It's been another beautiful day in Ischia and a bit hotter than expected too. Right now for example at 6:30pm it's still 28° Celcius (82° Fahrenheit) with tonight's minimum set to be around 23°C (73°F). As alluded to yesterday, today is a special day in the Ischian and the Italian calendar when Sant'Alessandro is celebrated. In Ischia this means La Festa di Sant'Alessandro which is a parade that starts by Castello Aragonese and ends in Ischia Porto by the church that bears the Saint's name. The parade consists of a massive cast of "extras" who dress up in clothing from different eras pertaining to the island's history and really is quite a spectacle so I better get my skates on otherwise I'll miss it!Today's photo comes from Lacco Ameno and I'll be back tomorrow.
