With its position so close to Castello Aragonese it's unsurprising that Al Pontile is so popular with tourists. The outside seating areas are usually very busy which attests to the quality of the food within. They have a varied menu that includes fish, pasta and meat dishes as well as good selection of wines.
The restaurant has one of the best views on the island, right in front of the castle so make sure you make note of the second entrance to the restaurant which has plenty of outside tables, unlike the first entrance which just has a few.

Directions:
Al Pontile is located close by to Castello Aragonese in Ischia Ponte. If you walk towards the castle, you will see one of the entrances to Al Pontile on the left, just before you reach the main square in front of the castle. If you then proceed to the square and turn left and left again, you will see the second (and slightly larger) entrance to the restaurant with its distinctive red canopies.
