The two main gardens of Ischia can both be found in he town of Forio but that's where their similarities end.
La Mortella Gardens is situated in the residential area of Zaro which looks down on to Forio's San Francesco Beach and amazing views are only the start of what it can offer. It was established by an English composer and his Argentinian wife when they lived on the island and nurtured this stunning space into something special. Ravino Gardens is close to Citara Beach at the other end of Forio and focuses on cacti and succulents. A walk around here puts you in touch with the resident peacocks who delight with their plumage while the fascinating array of plants provide their own attractions to this beautiful creation. |
