Marina Grande of Procida
Latest update: 22 January 2024
Marina Grande is the first place that most visitors see in Procida as its where the ferries and hydrofoils that connect with Naples, Pozzuoli and Ischia arrive. As you enter the harbour you're faced with an array of old buildings that are just bursting with charm and character, each one painted in a different colour from its neighbour.
Stepping off the ferry or hydrofoil to your right you'll find the ferry ticket office while in front of you there are several bars and restaurants which stretch all the way along the harbour to the left. |

This is is the busiest part of the island, especially when a ship arrives and all the passengers get on and off. If you walk all the way to the left you'll eventually arrive at the pretty church known as Chiesa Santa Maria della Pietà/Chiesa dei Marinai.
Further along from the church there's another marina for smaller boats and yachts while right at the end you'll find Lingua Beach. Another beach can also be reached from the harbour area, if you turn right when stepping off your ferry or hydrofoil and keep going you'll eventually reach Silurenza Beach.
