LA  MANDRA  BEACH

Ischia's ​La Mandra Beach is a small beach that can be found between Ischia Porto and Ischia Ponte but closer to Ischia Ponte which is home to Castello Aragonese. 

For most of the year it's a very sleepy place but in the height of summer it can get quite busy.

There are a few reasons for its popularity, not least the fact that it lies in an area with quite a few hotels around it but it's also completely free and enjoys great views across to the castle with the islands of Vivara and Procida behind it. There are also plenty of snack bars and restaurants within a short walk.

​You can access the beach either by walking along the coastal paths from Ischia Porto, or by walking away from Ischia Ponte. La Mandra Beach is located next to the entrance of the Miramare e Castello Hotel, a large ochre-coloured building which makes it easy to find.
