With such a vast array of new digital photos readily available on this site and others, you can almost feel as if you know Ischia before you've visited but what was the island like years ago? Ischia, so beautiful and so wild at the beginning of the tourist ​era, was still largely unknown to the outside world and ​a paradise for the few people that found it or were lucky enough to live here.
