During the summer there are daily crossings from Ischia to Sorrento in the mornings and afternoons. Various day-trip options are available with the easiest being on Wednesdays.

​The Sorrento excursions are run by a company called Rumore who have ticket offices in Ischia Porto (outside the Aragona Palace Hotel), Forio port and Lacco Ameno as well as a third party office in Casamicciola.

DAY  TRIPS  FROM  ISCHIA  TO  SORRENTO  ON  WEDNESDAYS

During the summer there's a weekly day-trip available, once a week on a Wednesday, from Ischia to Sorrento. The day trip leaves from 4 different ports in Ischia, Forio, Lacco Ameno, Casamicciola and Ischia Porto. The journey from Ischia Porto to Sorrento is around one hour and the price for a ticket is around €45.

The crossing between Sorrento and Ischia are typically available every day between Easter and the end of September (specific dates change from year to year).

DAY-TRIPS  VIA  CAPRI  ON  OTHER  DAYS  OF  THE  WEEK  DURING  LOW  SEASON

​If you're planning a day-trip to Sorrento from Ischia that's not on a Wednesday and during low season, you can still do so, returning instead via Capri. The daily hydrofoil from Capri to Ischia takes one hour and leaves Capri at 16:40. There are various services from Sorrento to Capri throughout the day including one that arrives in Capri at 16:25 meaning just a short wait for the connection back to Ischia.
