Lacco Ameno's Il Fungo Beach is split into several sections along the sea-front in the main town area.

There are a selection of private and free public beaches and the number of facilities couldn't be better with all of Lacco Ameno's restaurants, snack-bars and shops just a few steps away, some of which are situated on the main road behind the beach.

The beach is named after the giant mushroom-shaped (Il Fungo) rock that sits in the bay which fell from Mount Epomeo thousands of years ago. From the beach to nearby Negombo Thermal Gardens is a walk of around 5-10 minutes.
