PANZA

Panza is a village between Forio and Sant'Angelo. It's actually a "frazione" (smaller village or town) within the "comune" (like a borough) of Forio. Although small, Panza does have some notable locations within its confines and without doubt the most famous of those is Sorgeto Hot Springs, the natural thermal water pools.
The area around Panza is great for walks with several routes including Monte di Panza and Sentiero Baia Pelara offering a variety of terrain and some wonderful views. Walking along the coast line another major sight is the bay of La Scannella where you will find some of the clearest water on the island. |
The village itself has a good number of shops such as greengrocers, gift shops, post office and clothing stores plus there are also three bars and a selection of restaurants.
There are several buses that pass through Panza including the 1, CD and CS routes.
