While you're in Ischia you can take a fabulous boat trip from Ischia to Capri. There are regular crossings throughout the summer with departure points from all of Ischia's main ports.
The Capri excursions are run by two companies, called Capitan Morgan and Rumore. They have ticket offices in Ischia Porto (outside the Aragona Palace Hotel), Forio port and Lacco Ameno as well as a third party office in Casamicciola. It's simple to take a day trip to Capri from Ischia. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays a boat leaves Ischia Porto at 08:40 and arrives in Capri around an hour later. The return from Capri to Ischia is at 16:00 and arrives in Ischia Porto an hour later. It's also possible to leave from or arrive back in 3 other ports, Forio, Lacco Ameno and Casamicciola.
