Monte Cotto is a promontory on the south side of the island, between Punta San Pancrazio and Sant’Angelo.
The walk itself is pretty easy and short but the view of the bays from the hill is spectacular.
The starting point is the village of Testaccio, from the main square following the direction to Monte Cotto. The path is also marked with the icon of a blue lizard as this is one of the so-called Sentieri della Lucertola (Lizard Paths).
Follow the signs for "Sentiero delle Baie" and after 20 minutes you will reach the top of the hill with a stunning view of Punta San Pancrazio on the left. Taking the path to the right, the view opens to Maronti beach and Sant’Angelo.
