Whether you're already in Ischia or visiting for the day from another location such as Naples, Sorrento or Capri, we can maximise your time of the island by showing you the best sights in comfort and with an English-speaking driver-guide.
If you're already in Ischia we'll come and collect you directly from your accommodation to start the tour, dropping you off there again at the end. Alternatively, if you're visiting the island just for the day we'll come and meet you at the port when your ferry or hydrofoil arrives and then make sure you get back to the right place at the end of the tour so you can sail back to where you're staying. For example there's a daily hydrofoil that leaves from Sorrento to Ischia at 09:30 and arrives in Ischia Porto at 10:30. The same hydrofoil returns later on in the day, leaving Ischia Porto at 17:25 and arriving back in Sorrento at 18:25 so that gives you a total of around 7 hours to enjoy in Ischia. |

The main attractions that people visit Ischia for are the beaches, the beautiful natural scenery at sea and on land, the thermal water, the vineyards, Castello Aragonese, the village of Sant'Angelo, La Mortella Gardens and the six main towns that make up the island - Ischia (Ischia Porto & Ischia Ponte), Forio, Casamicciola, Lacco Ameno, Serrara Fontana and Barano.
We can put together tours that allow you to visit and enjoy as much or as little as you would like to do in one day. The tours take place in taxis with drivers who will take you to the best places and answer any questions you have along the way.
Three hour island taxi tours
The basic tours comprise a simple three hour tour of the island by taxi (with a driver who speaks basic English) which takes in the towns of Ischia Ponte, Ischia Porto, Casamicciola, Lacco Ameno and Forio, as well as the village of Sant'Angelo.
In each of Ischia Ponte, Lacco Ameno and Sant'Angelo you have free time to walk around by yourselves. At the other stops along the way, you have time to take photos of the most scenic parts of the island.
If arriving in Ischia Porto, a typical itinerary would look as follows:
Tour itineraries can change depending on a number of factors such as traffic, roadworks, special events and so on. We'll do our best to help you see the places you really want to see and the driver will keep you informed of how you're doing for time at necessary intervals.
If you're staying in a hotel or other accommodation on the island, we'll work out an itinerary that works in a similar way to the one above but with some modifications to take into account the different logistics.
Based on feedback from our clients, we no longer include a stop at Maronti Beach on the three hour tour. In one way it's a shame as it's one of the prettiest sights on the island, but the reality is the drive to and from the beach doesn't take in much in terms of sights along the way.
However, if you really want to visit Maronti as part of the three hour tour, just let us know and we'll work out a new itinerary with time taken off from one of the sights listed above in the suggested itinerary.

Booking any of the above tours is really simple: you can either make the booking yourself using the payment links below or drop us a line first if there are any details you're unsure about. You can reach us at [email protected] and we'll be happy to help.
We take full payment in advance and payments can be made securely on-line by Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
Before booking the tour with payment please ensure you have allowed a minimum of 48 hours before the tour is due to start. If you require a tour at shorter notice please write to us at [email protected] to check availability.
When we receive your payment we'll send you an e-mail asking for date, time and location for the start of the tour. Please note, we're based in Italy so if paying from a different time zone we'll email you as soon as our offices open (09:00 - 19:00 Italian time)
Terms and Conditions - Free cancellation up to 24 hours before start of tour
In cases where the client cancels up to 24 hours before the tour is due to begin we will offer a full refund. For any cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour there will be no refund offered.

- Greeting at the hydrofoil port
- Drive to Ischia Ponte
- Free time to walk around Ischia Ponte and see Castello Aragonese from the outside
- Drive from Ischia Ponte to Lacco Ameno, passing Casamicciola along the way
- Free time to walk around Lacco Ameno before continuing on to the panoramic viewing point of the town from above
- Drive from Lacco Ameno to Forio, first to the panoramic view point and then on to the Chiesa del Soccorso
- From Forio town centre drive to Sant'Angelo, passing Citara Beach along the way
- Free time to walk around Sant'Angelo
- Return to Ischia Porto

Please note: tours are not generally available on Sundays so Monday to Saturday is better. However, if Sunday is your only option let us know and we'll see if we can find a driver available.
Option 1 - Half day island taxi tour - We collect you from your hotel or your arrival port in Ischia, take you around the island by private air-conditioned taxi, passing through the main towns with stops in Ischia Ponte to see Castello Aragonese, Lacco Ameno for some free walking time, Forio for a stop at Chiesa del Soccorso and Sant'Angelo for more free walking time. The tour ends back at your hotel or your departure port. By "free walking time", we mean you walk around by yourselves while the driver awaits you at an agreed time and location.
Duration: 3 hours*

1 - 4 passengers: €150 (total - not per person)
5 - 8 passengers: €185 (total - not per person)
*For every additional hour (or part thereof) that the tour lasts beyond three hours, an additional fee of €45 is charged in cash on the day.
*Above prices are applicable only to tours starting in Ischia Porto, Casamicciola or Lacco Ameno. If your tour is due to start in Forio, Sant'Angelo or elsewhere on the island, a supplement applies as follows:

Option 2 - Full day island taxi tour
We collect you from your hotel or your arrival port in Ischia around 10:00 - 10:30, and take you on a tour of the island, passing through the main coastal towns with free time to explore Ischia Ponte, Lacco Ameno and Sant'Angelo on foot. We also stop at Chiesa del Soccorso in Forio, one of the town's most iconic locations, as well as a nearby panoramic viewing area to see the town in a different way.
We collect you from Sant'Angelo at 13:00 and at around 13:30 we stop at a local restaurant where you can have a traditional Ischian lunch (price of lunch not included). We collect you after lunch, complete the circuit of the island with one more photograph stop before arriving back in ischia Porto for your ferry or at your accommodation if you're staying overnight on the island.
Duration: 6 to 7 hours* depending on time taken to eat lunch and arrival time of ferry/hydrofoil
Prices:
1 - 4 passengers: €250 (total)
5 - 8 passengers: €295 (total)
*For every additional hour (or part thereof) that the tour lasts beyond seven hours, an additional fee of €45 is charged in cash on the day.

What a fantastic Taxi island tour by Loredana!
From the moment we received a WhatsAPP saying Loredana would be our driver / guide for the island tour everything was perfect.
Due to our ferry being few minutes late we were able to advise and Loredana was there to meet us.
The Taxi is special and extremely clean and well maintained.
We did a full tour of the island with Loredana making multiple stops to explain were were where and the history of the island, we also got some free time in number of places to explore of foot.
Loredana is a local which means she has knowledge of the island and was able to recommend other places for us do visit and local restaurants to eat at, which we did using Loredana as our taxi service to Negombo.
Your website and services our excellent, the bigger corporations could learn a lot from you

Just a quick, and belated, note to thank you for arranging the island tour and wine tasting this past Monday with Peppe. He was excellent, gave us a great overview of beautiful Ischia, and the wine stop was wonderful. The vineyard is a unique place, especially being right on the waterfront at the Porto. Marco gave us a great explanation of his family’s long history of winemaking on Ischia, and a tour of his own wine museum in the Roman caves behind their store – completely fascinating. We also really enjoyed his excellent wines. He also puts out tables and chairs in the evening, and serves wine and appertivo each evening from 19:00, and we went back that night. His place is so easily accessible for those visiting Ischia who have an interest in Ischian wine.
Again, your Ischia Review website has been very valuable to us, and is greatly appreciated.
We have been captivated by Ischia, and will return!

The tour went very well. Peppe was very friendly and accommodating. He waited while we explored the castle. When we were hungry, he called a friend and scheduled a very nice lunch at La Bitta. Ischia is a beautiful island. Peppe helped us to see many places that we would not have experienced without his assistance.
