Bar Ristorante Bagno da Mario is a beach restaurant situated on Ischia's largest beach, Maronti beach in Barano. Like so many of the establishments nearby, this one offers a private beach area in front of the restaurant meaning you can either pop in for a drink or a bite to eat, or alternatively make a day of it while relaxing on a sun lounger.
Da Mario is a bright and colourful place, epitomised by its red and white striped parasols set against the backdrop of the clear blue sea. The dining area is humble yet clean and tidy with heavy tablecloths. Here under the shade you can enjoy some excellent fish dishes with the menu consisting of whatever has been caught that morning. The mixed seafood pasta is particularly good and there are some tasty side dishes as well such as the Bruschetta and the garlic bread.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, happy to advise you on what's good on the menu and what wine to drink with it.
With the prices being kept reasonable as well it's easy to understand why this place is proving so popular.

Directions:
Da Mario is situated on Maronti Beach in Barano. From the main entrance to the beach by the bus stop area, walk down the steps and then turn right. You'll soon see the red and white striped umbrellas of the beach restaurant as you walk along the board walk.
