Bar Ristorante La Cantina is a family-run restaurant located next to Nitrodi Natural Springs in the village of Buonopane. Known for its traditional, home-cooking, the restaurant specialises is dishes such as Coniglio alla Cacciatora (a kind of rabbit stew/casserole) as well as steaks, pasta dishes and fresh fish such as the Frittura di Paranza (a platter of mixed fried fish). The restaurant also excels with its Bruschetta and home-made desserts.
There are two dining areas in the restaurant, one indoors and an outdoor terrace with views across to the springs.

La Cantina is mainly hidden from the beaten track but once you know where you're going it's quite easy to find. In fact it's located just a few steps from Nitrodi Springs in Buonopane. To get there by car it's just a case of following the SS270 circular road to Barano. La Cantina is situated between the villages of Barano and Buonopane where you'll find a bridge over a small gorge. You can drive down to the gorge where there's a large car park but do be aware of the tricky hairpin turn which might take a few attempts if coming from the direction of Serrara Fontana or indeed if returning that way. You can also take a bus such as a CD or a CS route.
