CHIESA  DEL  PURGATORIO

The Chiesa del Purgatorio sits along the main road just a short distance from Forio town centre. It comes under the Parish of Santa Maria di Montevergine, close to San Francesco Beach.

The church was originally constructed in 1743 and then underwent a reconstruction in 1983. Inside the church there are examples of the work of local artist Alfonso di Spigna.
