La Chiesa dell'Immacolata was originally founded in 1703 before being completely razed to the ground by the terrible earthquake that shook Casamicciola Terme in 1883. It was eventually reconstructed in 1954.
The church is located on Via Castanito, away from Casamicciola town centre and heading towards Lacco Ameno. To reach the church from Casamicciola's port area takes 45 minutes to an hour on foot. From the ferry & hydrofoil ticket office walk to your left with the sea behind you until you reach a roundabout with a statue of anchor. Turn right here and then turn right again when you reach the top of the road. This takes you into Piazza Bagni where you'll see the imposing Hotel Terme Manzi on your left before the road circles round to the right and then left again before reaching a T-junction with the Hotel & Residence Matarese on the other side of the road. Turn left here, up the hill then take the first right and another church, the Chiesa di Santa Maria Maddalena will come into view. Take the road to the right of the church, eventually passing Hotel Coralba on your left and then follow this road all the way until you reach the Hotel Residence Villa Teresa. The Chiesa dell'Immacolata is just to the right of this hotel.
