The Chiesa Santa Maria del Carmine is one of two churches in the village centre of Serrara, the other being the Chiesa dell'Immacolata Concezione. The church of Santa Maria del Carmine was originally built in 1641 and has an unusual shape with part of the structure forming an archway which leads out on to the main road.
To reach the church take the circular road to the village of Serrara using either the CS or CD bus routes. The village centre is a popular stopping point for visitors on guided tours as it has wonderful views down to Sant'Angelo and across to Capri. From the large tree next to the viewing area, turn around and you will see the church with its bell-tower and archway directly ahead of you.
