GOOD MORNING ISCHIA! TueSDAY 15TH OCTOBER 2013
Welcome to our Ischia blog, Good Morning Ischia! Here you can see the entry for Thursday 15th October 2013.
Good morning Ischia!
Temperatures today are due to reach between 24 & 26 celcius (76 - 78 fahrenheit) with a mixture of sun, showers and cloud at various stages of the day.
Today's photo is of the Santa Restituta Museum in Lacco Ameno.
Santa Restituta is the patron saint of Lacco Ameno and it is her that both the main square and church in Lacco Ameno are named after.
The Santa Restituta museum is located beneath the church of the same name and is divided in to two distinct areas. The upper floor hosts some fascinating ecclesiastical memorabilia such as costumes and ceremonial objects, while downstairs is an intriguing excavation site that explains what life on the island was like during the ages, dating as far back as the time when the Greeks settled the island in ancient times.
If you're in Lacco Ameno today and interested to see the museum, it's located next to the church of Santa Restituta in Piazza Santa Restituta and opens from 9:30 - 12:30 and then again in the afternoon from 16:00 - 18:00 with an admission price of €3 per person.
We have more information about all of the museums on the island here in our museums section but if you have any questions you'd like to ask then just drop us a line at the address below and we'll be happy to help.
Have a great day!
