GOOD MORNING ISCHIA! TUESDAY 26TH NOVEMBER 2013
Welcome to our Ischia blog, Good Morning Ischia! Here you can see the entry for Tuesday 26th November 2013.
Good morning Ischia!
It's another beautiful start to the day here in Forio on the western side of Ischia. The sea is a nice, bright blue colour as the sun gradually rises over Mount Epomeo and lights up the houses that sit on the mountain slopes. Yesterday we had four seasons in one day with every kind of weather imaginable, ending in a ferocious electrical storm that has now given way to these lovely, calm conditions. As we move further and further into winter the temperatures continue to drop and today we're expecting a maximum of just 10° celcius (49° fahrenheit) and a minimum of around 7° celcius (45° fahrenheit).
Today's photo is a beautiful representation of how the island looks in November. The luxury villa that is shown still has the gorgeous pink and red bougainvillea growing in its garden while out to sea you can see the different shades of lustrous blue as the water caresses the varying depths of the sands below. Not a bad view with which to enjoy your morning coffee I'm sure you'd agree!
The bay of Citara which this particular villa overlooks never ceases to provide a palette of azure blues and there's a new picture waiting for us every morning as we stroll past the small cliff-top which allows a magnificent view across the whole bay. Even now during late-autumn, the beach is a draw for many people who like to take a relaxing walk and clear their heads with the rhythmic sound of the waves as they hover around the edge of the shore or crash against the tufa-stone rocks.
From the stunning villa in the image above, you can fling open your doors and let the sunshine fill your room with natural light before enjoying the fruits of the garden's aromatic scents. During the spring, summer and early autumn you can also relax in the pool as as you admire the views or even take a sauna in the natural grotto just outside your bedroom door.
This villa is one of our new offerings under the "self-catering in Ischia" section which is now expanding to give visitors a wider choice of accommodation in Ischia. Whilst many people enjoy the benefits that staying in a hotel can bring, there are just as many who prefer to have their own "home from home" while they're in Ischia and go about their daily business themselves such as making their own meals or being able to relax in the comfort of familiar faces and surroundings.

Ok that's all from idyllic Ischia for today but we'll be back with more tomorrow morning. Have a great day wherever you are and I hope you're enjoying a little bit of the same sunshine that we've got here.
A presto!
