GOOD MORNING ISCHIA! WEDNESDAY 23RD OCTOBER 2013
Welcome to our Ischia blog, Good Morning Ischia! Here you can see the entry for Wednesday 23rd October 2013.
Good morning Ischia!
It's another beautiful, sunny day in Ischia with temperatures getting up to around 25° celcius (76° fahrenheit) this afternoon as the autumn heat-wave continues.
As it's such a lovely day I'm sure many of you will be taking yourselves down to the beach but which one do you choose from? We list around 20 beaches in Ischia and we've hot them all divided up into the towns they're in to help you decide which one will suit you best.
The largest and most popular beaches are Maronti in Barano and Citara in Forio but there are plenty of other great ones that you can discover too. Today's photo is of Il Fungo Beach, named after the giant mushroom-shaped rock that sits in the bay. The rock is a symbol for Lacco Ameno and has been there for thousands of years after supposedly falling from Mount Epomeo. It's also been used in many feature-films based in Ischia such as "Appuntamento ad Ischia" among several others that were filmed on the island.
Anyway, if you are going to the beach have a great day and remember to put lots of sun-cream on to protect you from those strong UV rays!
We have more information available for the beaches in Ischia and if you can't find what you're looking for in our beach guide then simply drop us a line or use the live-chat option and we'll be happy to help.
