Hotel Citara is set in the bay of Citara, 2 minutes walk from the beach and 5 minutes walk from Poseidon Thermal Gardens while Forio centre is around 1.5 km away.
Rooms at the hotel are allocated in 2 different structures, the main house and the annex building Villa La Rosa, and they are classified as Standard or Rooms with balcony or terrace and sea view. The majority of rooms have a balcony or terrace with a sea view and they all have air-conditioning (available from June 15th to September 15th), en-suite bathroom, electronic safe, heating and phone.

The Hotel Citara can be found next to the beach that it takes its name from. If sailing from Naples it's usually best to take the hydrofoil direct to Forio but the hotel can also be reached from the island's other ports if necessary. The hotel is around a 30 minute walk from Forio port but with heavy luggage it's best to take either a bus (the number 21 which takes 8 minutes) or a taxi (about 5 minutes). If driving from Ischia Porto, head west following the signs to Forio and stay on that road all the way to the town centre. When you reach the harbour area you're presented with a left hand turn up a hill but at this stage go straight ahead through the harbour area. You will shortly pass under a tunnel and then a T-junction where you need to turn right. Follow this coast road for another few minutes until there's a steep left hand turn. Don't take the first turning up the hill, instead take the next one that goes down the hill towards the beach. The entrance to Hotel Citara is on the left around 75 yards from the turning.
