HOTEL CORONA
Hotel Corona, located in Forio on the west side of the island, was originally built as a private, elegant villa before being turned into a hotel. The structure is surrounded by a large outdoor garden and lawn with relaxing wide-open spaces on the front which look out towards the horizon and to the sea while facing in the other direction, Forio's hills and mountains are visible.
The rooms are nicely decorated with colourful majolica tiles and wood or wrought iron furniture. Rooms come with either sea view or garden view while some have a private terrace with table and chairs leading out on to the lawn. Air-conditioning is available on request.
A large swimming pool with sunbeds and chairs is available in the garden while an indoor jacuzzi is located under a gazebo, giving shade from the hot Ischian sun.
The on-site restaurant offers traditional Neapolitan dishes while also providing special consideration to meals for guests who require gluten-free food.
The hotel provides a free shuttle bus on a set schedule to Forio town centre (1 km away) and the beach (600 metres away).

Located just a 5 minute drive from Forio town centre, the best way to start your journey to the Hotel Corona is by taking the hydrofoil direct to Forio from Naples. From the harbour area you can either take a taxi or either of a number 1 or CS bus. If driving, follow the main SS270 all the way to Forio but just before you reach the harbour area, turn left up the hill. This takes you through the town centre and you need to stay on this road as it moves towards a residential area. At a certain point you will pass the Hotel Tramonto d'Oro on your right. From this point you need to take the third turning on the right where you will then see a sign for the Hotel Corona. The hotel entrance is at the end of this cul-de-sac.
