IL GALEONE
Il Galeone is a beach establishment on Citara Beach in Forio where you can rent a sun lounger and a parasol for a day of sun bathing. It's also a bar and a restaurant meaning you can pop in just for a drink or alternatively for a proper sit down meal.
On the menu you'll find snacks and light meals such as sandwiches and salads but you can also order pasta dishes and main courses with the fish being particularly recommended. The main dining area is a wooden structure with views out to the sea while if you prefer to eat al fresco there's also a small outdoor terrace with further chairs and tables.
On a hot day one great idea for a drink is the "Caffè del Nonno", a small shot of liquid, iced coffee cream which is delicious!

Directions:
From Forio town centre follow the coast road with the sea on your right and when you get to the end you'll see a road leading down to the beach. Just behind the beach is a square with various shops, bars and restaurants dotted around and if you look from here towards the beach you'll clearly see Il Galeone directly ahead of you.
