IL LIMONETO
IL LIMONETO
Il Limoneto serve a variety of pasta and meat dishes, while specialising in fresh fish and pizzas. It's is a family run business and a very traditional restaurant which is a favourite with residents of Forio. You can choose to eat inside the restaurant itself with its traditional yet tasteful décor or during the warmer months you can sit outside in the lovely garden area.
Try the "Il Limoneto" pizza (pictured above), it's unusual in so much as it is topped with lemon shavings but it's absolutely delicious! To get the very best service, ask for Nello (the smiling owner in one of the photos) and tell him you found the restaurant on Ischia Review.

Il Limoneto was one of the most memorable restaurant experiences we had on the island. The atmosphere was divine. We sat outside under the pergola with the sweet scented honey suckle breeze. We had a fabulous pasta followed by the best pizza ever
I highly recommend this spot

Directions:
Il Limoneto sits just off the Via Borbonica, a road that crosses the elevated area of Forio. From the town centre of Forio to Il Limoneto is around a 30 minute walk which includes a hill so perhaps a car or taxi are best. If walking, head along the main road to Chiaia beach and stay on the main road until you reach a crossroads with Via Cava di Spinavola on the right hand side, at which point you'll see some signs for Il Limoneto. The restaurant is at the top of this road and on the right hand side, next to the junction between Via Cava di Spinavola and Via Borbonica.
