ISCHIA BOOK EXCHANGE
ISCHIA BOOK EXCHANGE
If you're on holiday in Ischia and would like something to read then we can provide you with a book. Just give us an old one of yours and we'll swap it for one of ours!
The Ischia book exchange provides visitors to Ischia with new reading material once they've finished a book of their own. It works like a kind of virtual library where we have a list of books that previous visitors have left us that we can then offer to somebody else. All you need to do is give us an old book of yours and we'll swap it with whichever one you've chosen from our list.
Follow our updates below to see what's available at any given time and please feel free to donate any unwanted books if you'd like to share the pleasure of what you've read with others. This is a free service with no subscription fees or sign up process involved. Once we've agreed an exchange with you we'll either come and meet you or leave the book in a convenient place such as your hotel reception or a local bar where we'll also collect the book you left for us.

FRIDAY 11TH DECEMBER 2015: POMPEII ADDED TO THE LIST
Still no takers for any of our books yet but I guess it's still early and out of season. We do now have another one to add to the list though as I've just personally finished reading it. It's actually another book by the same author, Robert Harris, but the action in this one takes place a lot closer to Ischia, in Pompeii. It's a brilliant story set within the real events that took place in the ill-fated town. It's particularly interesting to read if you're planning a trip to the ruins or if you've been there before and are able to visualise some of the places where the events in the book unfold.
FRIDAY 4TH DECEMBER 2015: THE ISCHIA BOOK EXCHANGE BEGINS!
Ok so here goes, we're going to see if we can get this working and to kick things off I'm going to personally donate a great book that I've just finished reading myself, Archangel by Robert Harris. This is a story that talks about Joseph Stalin and Russian history while interwoven into a fictional plot. If you'd like to read it just drop us a line at [email protected] and let us know what you'd like to exchange it with.
Obviously one book isn't going to get us very far so at this stage we'd appeal to anybody who's in Ischia at the moment that may have finished reading a book if you'd like us to take it off your hands for you and send it to a nice new home. You can even put a little note in it if you like for the next reader and it'll also save you a little space in your luggage for the flight home ;-).
