ISCHIA SUNSET TRIATHLON
The Ischia Sunset Triathlon is a gruelling test of speed, stamina and strength that takes place every spring time in Forio. Starting at Chiaia Beach, the athletes swim through the waves for 750 metres to Chiesa del Soccorso before taking to their bikes for a 20 kilometre cycle around a specially prepared route around the town centre. The 5km course is completed 4 times and then followed by a 5km run back to the finish line close to where the event starts by the beach.
The event attracts competitors from across the region and is always well supported with big crowds lining the streets to cheer on their heroes.
