The histories of Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii are inextricably linked in the most tragic of ways. Our day trips combine the fascinating legacy that the volcano left in Pompeii as well as a trip up the imposing mountain on the same day before bringing you back to Ischia.

The Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii excursions are run by two companies, called Capitan Morgan and Rumore.

Package and itinerary:

  • Guided-tour with a qualified tour-guide (languages available to be confirmed)
  • Tours on Wednesday and Sundays
  • The coach collects  passengers from every hotel on the island starting from 5:30am  in time for the 6:30 ferry to Naples
  • From Naples you continue by  coach, first to Pompeii, where you will spend two hours, with tour guide or audioguide
  • 1 hour break for lunch at a local restaurant, before continuing on to Mount Vesuvius (lunch not included in the price)
  • After Vesuvius return by coach to Naples to take the ferry back to Ischia and then back to your hotel by around 7pm
  • Total price of tour €59.50 per person (including ferry tickets)
  • Price does not include entrance to Pompeii (€13 per person),Mount Vesuvius (€8 per person), lunch and audioguide (facultative)
