La Capanna is one of Forio's favourite restaurants and is always sure to have a great atmosphere throughout the summer months.
Based right next to the beach of Cava dell'Isola, the location couldn't be better and this along with the food helps to make it as popular as it is. The relaxing atmosphere is created partially by the music but also by the friendly staff.
Specialities are pizzas, made using a wood-fired oven in typical Neapoletan style, as well as traditional local and Italian cuisine.
Prices are very reasonable and the fact that the restaurant is always busy only serves to highlight the point.
There is free Wi-Fi throughout the restaurant so this is the perfect place to take a break from sunbathing on the beach and catch up on your e-mails.

Directions:
La Capanna is situated next to Cava dell'Isola beach in Forio d'Ischia. From Forio town centre, head towards Citara along the main coast road but don't go as far as Citara. After about a 15 minute walk from the town centre you'll see a path that leads down to Cava dell'Isola beach with the restaurant also signposted. As you approach the beach along the path you will see La Capanna on your right just a few yards from the beach itself.
