La Sirena del Mare specialises in fresh fish dishes, salads and desserts with plenty of pasta options also available. Based on Citara Beach in Forio, the atmosphere is naturally very welcoming and laid-back. There are tables outside that look over the beach whilst you can also eat indoors during occasions when it's a bit cooler.

As the restaurant also has its own beach, this could be a good place to base yourself for the day without the need to move. You can rent sun-loungers and umbrellas as well as receive waiter service while on the beach. You can also take breakfast or just a coffee here with the great advantage that there's free WiFi internet available.

Directions:

La Sirena del Mare is located close to the beach in the bay of Citara. From Forio town centre, head in the direction of Panza along the coast road. The bay of Citara is around a 30 minute walk/5 minute drive from Forio town centre and is located at the point where the road bears left up a steep hill. Instead of taking the left up the hill, take the next road along which you'll see heads down to Citara beach with its hotels, restaurants and shops. From the small square with bars and shops, continue along the road so that the beach is on your right, and within about 50 metres you will see the entrance to La Sirena Del Mare on the right with its blue signs and large car park. The restaurant can also be easily accessed and seen from the beach.
