To reach Residence Covo dei Borboni you can sail to any of Ischia's three maritime ports, Forio, Ischia Porto or Casamcciola. Of those, the latter is the closest with a journey time of around 10 minutes by car. From Casamicicola port turn right on the main road and keep going with the sea on your right until you reach Lacco Ameno. At that point the road turns inland and up a hill, twisting a couple of times before reaching a small roundabout. Go straight across at the roundabout and continue twisting and turning up the hill, passing the Park Hotel Terme Michelangelo on your right before reaching another small roundabout. Turn right here past the church and then a car park before keeping a close eye on the signs on the right hand side of the road, one of which leads down a narrow lane to the entrance and car park of Residence Covo dei Borboni.
