Ristorante La Scarrupata (also known as "La Pace") is perhaps the most unique restaurant in Ischia. It's located between Ischia Ponte and Maronti Beach but can only be reached by sea. This makes it a favourite with yacht-owners or with people who hire a boat for the day and are looking for an interesting spot to stop for lunch.
Unsurprisingly, most dishes on the menu include fish but it's also possible to order steak or rabbit. There are also a variety of pasta dishes such as Spaghetti A Cozze (spaghetti with mussels). Whilst there is a menu on the wall of the restaurant, the dishes that are on offer on any given day vary depending on what's been caught and what's available.
The bay itself is one of the most picturesque locations in Ischia with its startlingly crystal clear water. The restaurant is set up in such a way that once you've finished eating you can go and relax on a sun-lounger and sun bathe or have a snooze in the shade for a while. This place really is the epitome of relaxed and is devoid of any airs and graces.

Directions:
As La Scarrupata can only be reached by sea you're obviously going to need a boat to get you there. You can hire a boat from us for the day as one option or another is to take a water taxi, either from Sant'Angelo or from La Mandra Beach near Ischia Ponte. If you've hired a boat or own one, simply sail around the island in a clockwise direction from Ischia Porto, passing Castello Aragonese along the way. La Scarrupata is a few bays around the coast and you'll see it in the corner as you pass. You can put your anchor down near to the jetty and one of the staff will come and get you to take you on to the restaurant.
