Ristorante Pizzeria L'Innominato is a somewhat hidden gem, located behind the main town of Ischia Porto and realistically only accessible by car. However, if you do have your own transport it's worth the effort of going there because it combines excellent, home-cooked Southern Italian food with one of the best views on the island.
The dining room is large and has a very rustic feel to it with the exposed brickwork on the walls and wooden roof. As soon as you walk in your breath is taken away by the fantastic view across to Castello Aragonese in Ischia Ponte with Mount Vesuvius looming large behind it on the Italian mainland.
This is a family-run restaurant with very friendly staff and a menu consisting of typical local cuisine such as the "scialatelli" pasta and some of the best wood oven pizzas on the island.
With the prices kept down from being away from the town centre this is an excellent option for anybody with a car, your reward being a great, home cooked meal and happy memories of a great dining experience.

Directions:
If driving from the harbour in Ischia Porto go up to the main road and turn left. Go straight across at the roundabout and under the tunnel, passing the Hotel Terme President on your right. This road gradually rises but as soon as it starts to level out you'll see the entrance to l'Innominato on the right with a large car park in front of it.
