Ristorante Pizzeria Marechiaia in Forio is a good choice if you wish to have lunch, dinner or just an aperitif with a great view of the sea in a beach side setting. The restaurant features a recently refurbished indoor dining room, in a modern marine-themed style. During the summer the most popular tables are outside on a covered decking area that overlooks Chiaia Beach.
Among the restaurant specialities are Spaghetti Vongole (with clams), traditional Ischian Bruschetta with fresh tomatoes and basil, mussel soup, "Antipasti Marechiaia" with mixed sea food, fried shrimps, octopus salad and the classic pizza. Despite the mainly sea-based theme you can also get good steaks here with prices kept very reasonable for a seaside location.
Staff at the restaurant are very friendly and chatty, trying their best to perfect their English so feel free to help them as they'll relish the opportunity.
This is also a great place to have breakfast by the sea in the morning, a simple cappuccino and a pastry setting you up for the day nicely.

Directions:
Marechiaia can be reached in around ten minutes on foot from Forio town centre. From the harbour area walk with the sea on your left and keep going along the main road until it starts to turn inland. If on foot you can turn left here to carry on walking alongside the beach and you'll soon see the restaurant just a few steps along this road.
