TERRA E SAPORI
TERRA E SAPORI
Terra e Sapori is a family restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by vineyards in the countryside just a short distance from Forio town centre.
With its main building carved out of the local tufa stone, the restaurant has a rustic feel to it. The stone creates a cool atmosphere for the kitchens and the ancient wine-cellar but most of the seats are outside. There are two large, covered terraces with tables and chairs, set in gardens and surrounded by a wooded area with some great views across the sea.
The varied menu includes "Coniglio all'Ischitana", the local rabbit dish, as well as pasta and some great appetizers. This is a great place to get away from the heat of the beach with its shaded areas and views across the sea. Given the location it's really most suitable to anyone with their own car, particularly if visiting at night.

Directions:
Terra e Sapori is a little bit tricky to find if you've never been there before and I would recommend using a car, as at night the dark access road would be inadvisable to walk along. From Forio town centre, drive in the direction of Panza but not along the coast road. From the town centre at the main crossroads there's a road that leads through Forio on a gradually increasing slope. After passing the Hotel Lord Byron on your right, you will see an area with a couple of bus stops and then a sharp, left-hand turn which means you will almost be going back on yourself. Take this turn and then in around 50 metres or so you will see a very narrow turning on your right, just before a busy crossroads of the area known as Monterone. Take the narrow, right-hand turn and you will soon come to a T-junction. Turn right at this T-junction and you will almost immediately see another right hand turn with signs for Terra e Sapori. This road winds its way around a secluded country road and eventually leads you to the restaurant's entrance and gravel car park.
