Bar Faro is a small café/snack bar located in the scenic area of Punta Imperatore in Forio. Indoors there's a tiny bar area while outside there's a lovely terrace where you can enjoy a drink out in the sunshine and fresh air.
The bar is situated along the road that leads up to the lighthouse which gives the bar its name. This is an area popular with walkers who are exploring the hiking routes around the village of Panza.
It's not the easiest place to reach, somewhat off the beaten track but there is a narrow road that leads up to it. If you're on the main road between Forio and Panza, take the right hand turning just after you pass the Park Hotel Terme Mediterraneo and keep climbing the hill, making sure to stop regularly to allow other cars to pass. The bar is located at the top of this road.
Once you've finished there it's worth a little effort to turn right up the lane towards the lighthouse where you can enjoy some of the most spectacular views of the island.
