BAR GELATERIA DELL'800
Bar Gelateria dell'800 is a mixture between a snack bar, an ice cream parlour and a bar. It's located at the top end of Ischia Ponte and has an indoor area with seats and tables as well as the bar itself. At the rear there's a larger room with a panoramic window that looks out on to the sea and the neighbouring island of Procida. Table service is available here or if you prefer to you can simply stand at the bar with a drink or a snack.
The food on offer includes panini, crepes, salads and toasted sandwiches including the "Zingara", a traditional type of club sandwich made with pizza dough that's very popular in Ischia. You can also order ice creams from the kiosk outside and take them with you.
To reach the bar, if standing with your back to the Miramare e Castello Hotel, walk up the hill and turn left to enter the town centre. After just a few paces you'll see Bar dell'800 on your left.
