The Chiesa di Sant'Antonio da Padova was built in 1703 and is one of two churches in the village of Fontana. Both this church and the second one, Chiesa Santa Maria delle Mercede share many similarities including the colour-scheme of their façades which are both white and yellow, but there are some significant differences. Outside the Chiesa di Sant'Antonio di Padova is a small square which is popular with locals and at the centre of the square is a large statue of Jesus Christ.
To reach the church you can take either a CD or CS bus from any of the major town centres on the island and get off right outside the church with the bus stop sitting at the edge of the same piazza that the church is located on.
