The Eremo di Montevergine complex stands in a dominant position overlooking the bay of San Francesco in Forio. The location is great for enjoy stunning sunsets over the sea in one of the most beautiful locations on the island. The residence is close to the beach, the botanical garden La Mortella and the woods of Zaro with La Colombaia Museum. The area is also generously sprinkled with bars, beach resorts, restaurants and shops.
The building that hosts the apartments was an old monastery from the 18th century, built right next the pretty church of San Francesco di Paola. The complex was then turned in a private villa from which six different luxury apartments were created.
The apartments are different in size and shape and can host from 2 up to a maximum of 6 people. All apartments have free Wi-Fi internet, private terrace with sea or garden view, television with satellite channels and air-conditioning.
Parking is possible nearby at a car park.

To reach the Eremo di Montevergine Apartments it's best to take a taxi or hire a car. The closest port is Forio and from there it's less than a ten minute drive away. From Forio port drive along the main road with the sea on your left and keep going as the road heads away from the beach and starts to turn inland. Ignore all of the turnings on each side of the road where you'll pass various hotels, a petrol station and a church before you eventually reach an opening where the road bears right and up a hill. It then turns left and at the top of the hill you need to be prepared to take a sharp left across the oncoming traffic. This turning then takes you past the entrance to La Mortella Gardens before a steep left hand turning down a hill. Follow this downhill road and just as you see the church on your right you'll see there's a car park and the entrance to the Eremo di Montevergine is directly next to the church with a gate on the left.
