GOOD MORNING ISCHIA! TUESDAY 17TH DECEMBER 2013
Welcome to our Ischia blog, Good Morning Ischia! Here you can see the entry for Tuesday 17th December 2013.
Good morning Ischia!
It's an absolutely gorgeous morning in Ischia, the sun is reflecting off the waves out at sea and the whole island is bathed in a vividly coloured veneer, illuminated by sunshine. The weather forecast for the week ahead looks to be for more of the same as we close in on Christmas and the New Year ("Capodanno" in Italian). Temperatures today should range from a minimum of 11° Celcius (52° fahrenheit) to a maximum of 15°C (60°F), feeling very warm during the afternoon but a bit nippy at night time.
Today's photo is from "Il Bosco Incantato" (The Enchanted Forest) in Ischia Porto. As mentioned last week, the forest is a park full of spooky sounds and strange illuminated animals such as butterflies, unicorns, flamingoes and deer. The reason I'm using the photo today is to highlight that we've just added a full page of information with some great photos of the car which you can see here.
There's also a new page for the ice-skating rink in Ischia as well as a general page for what's going on at Christmas which I'll be using to add all of the photos over the next two weeks including the wonderful decorations and illuminations as well as the different types of food and other traditional events.
With all that in mind I'm going to keep today's blog reasonably brief so that I can get myself over to Ischia Porto and see what's going on. There are some great nativity scenes that should now be on display so hopefully I'll be able to update you tomorrow morning with some nice new photos.
