LA CASERECCIA
LA CASERECCIA
Located along the road that connects the two towns of Forio and Lacco Ameno, La Casereccia is a family-run establishment that caters for all kinds of visitors including families with children. This is a restaurant that's very popular with locals, offering genuine home cooked food and using locally sourced ingredients where possible. Most of the vegetables come from the restaurant's own garden where they also keep bees and produce honey.
The menu at La Casereccia varies according to what is in season at the time, but specialities are fish, pasta and pizzas made in their wood oven while ff you fancy something a bit different, try the pasta with lemon which is delicious.
There are two main dining areas, one is a large indoor dining room with dozens of tables and a television in one corner while a glass conservatory area is nice and warm during the winter months. However during the summer the best place to eat is out at the front of the restaurant with its covered terrace set amongst an attractive garden.
This is a very friendly restaurant where Giuseppe the owner will happily speak to you in English and generally make you feel welcome. If you ask him about their bees and honey he'll be happy to talk to you about how its produced and if it's the right time of year you'll also be able to try some.
