La Pagliarella is a somewhat hidden gem, located among the vineyards between Panza and Forio with a magnificent view down to the bay of Citara. Situated along the narrow road that leads up to Punta Imperatore, this is a place where you can simply stop for a drink if you're taking one of the nearby walking routes or take a longer stop for a meal.
There are two dining areas of the restaurant, the indoor area is traditional with wooden tables while outside you can sit undercover and enjoy those fabulous views.
On the menu you'll find a mixture of meat, fish and pasta dishes with the restaurant striving to use locally grown produce where possible.
Being as it's off the beaten track this is a restaurant that doesn't fill up with lots of passing trade but the locals in the area love the place which tells you all you need to know.

Directions:
Ideally you'll have a car if you're planning to visit La Pagliarella but it can be reached on foot for those who like walking (up hills!). From the main road above Citara Beach, drive past Sorriso Thermae Resort & Spa and then follow the road as it bends a couple of times before heading inland. Shortly after passing the Park Hotel Terme Mediterraneo you'll see a right hand turning on a bend. Take this turning on to what is a very narrow road (making sure to go slowly enough to allow for cars to pass in the opposite direction) and then keep going until you see the restaurant with its car park on the left.
