This elegant three bedroomed villa sits in a commanding position on a hilltop overlooking the bay of San Francesco in Forio with the Pontine Islands of Ponza and Ventotene visible in the distance. Split over multiple levels it offers a unique set of outdoor relaxation areas from which to admire the panoramic sea views.
Upon entry into the property via an electric gate you reach a large car park with enough parking spaces for a large family, including a covered area for scooters if required. From this area you can start to understand the scale of the villa with its beautifully manicured facade reaching up to the forest behind it.
The outdoor steps lead up to the first level of the house which is where the three bedrooms can be found. Two bedrooms come with double beds and lead out on to the front terrace with its sea view, while the third bedroom is an unusual shape, bending around to also lead out on to the same terrace. This third bedroom comes with one single sofa-bed and four bunk beds. The lower level is completed first by a bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower and then finally by a reception area with a spiral staircase leading up to the second level. Access to the higher level can also be achieved via the outdoor steps on either flank of the house.
The middle or second level is the main living area which comprises of an elegant lounge as its centrepiece and a well-equipped kitchen perfectly positioned to serve meals either in the lounge-diner or outside on one of two further dining tables. On one side there's a barbecue area which looks out to sea and on the other side yet another angle from which to dine and enjoy the views. At the front of the living area is a wide balcony terrace which comes with comfortable outdoor furniture, parasols and sun loungers and there is also a further bathroom on this level, again with a shower.
Continuing the journey up the house the next level is all outside apart from a second barbecue area which is covered. This level provides a real sun trap from where the evening sunsets occur directly ahead of the villa and the phenomenon of Ischia's "Raggio Verde" (a green flash that appears on the horizon moments after sunset) can sometimes be witnessed . There are yet further levels that climb away from the main area of the villa, these levels are all about peace, quiet and magnificent views with a number of places to seek privacy, shade and quiet. The steps continue towards the top of the mountain and are surrounded by Mediterranean plants, oak trees and olive bushes.
The nearest beach is San Francesco which is around a 5 minute drive away and it is worth noting that a car is highly recommended for guests staying at this property. In one direction you can reach Forio town centre with its bustling centre, shops, restaurants and bars while in the other direction the famous La Mortella Gardens offers a different kind of atmosphere. The town of Lacco Ameno is also just a 5 minute drive away and offers its own unique attractions including Negombo Thermal Gardens and San Montano Beach.
