PIAZZA DEGLI EROI

Piazza degli Eroi (Hero's Square) is a large roundabout in Ischia Porto. It's an important junction in the road that has four exits. One exit is on to Via Alfredo de Luca which leads down to Ischia Porto's harbour area, another exit goes in the opposite direction towards Ischia Ponte while the final two head down to the shopping street of Corso Vittoria Colonna in one direction and up to the island's main road (the SS270) in the other.
It's an important landmark when giving road directions and is easy to recognise with a newspaper stand on one corner and the famous Bar Calise in another. |
