RISTORANTE ALBERTO
RISTORANTE ALBERTO
With its location next to the sea it's no surprise that the speciality at Ristorante Alberto is the fish. The owner, Gianni Mattera, confirms that they have no freezer in the restaurant and this ensures that everything served is caught fresh that day. The fish offered depends very much on what has been caught and changes on a daily basis and is also dependent on the season.
Popular fish dishes include squid and mussels while you will also find a wide range of pasta dishes as well as antipasti such as prosciutto and parmigiana.
Apart from the food, the restaurant has a fantastic location, overlooking the sea. When the weather is warm, the windows are open and you can hear the waves breaking below which gives a lovely feeling of tranquility.

Directions:
Ristorante Alberto is towards the higher part of Ischia Porto, along Lungomare Cristoforo Colombo. Perhaps the easiest way is to walk to the top of Via Roma until you reach the crossroads with Via F. D'Avalos. Then turn down Via F. D'Avalos towards the sea for a few minutes. When you reach the beachfront, you will see an area to your right where men play the local brand of bowls. From this area, look towards the sea and slightly to your right and you will see Ristorante Alberto, a wooden building painted mostly in white that juts out on to the sea.
