Zaro is a small hamlet on the outskirts of Forio, close to San Francesco Beach and known for its outstanding natural beauty. Just a short walk away in one direction is La Colombaia Museum, the historical former home of legendary Italian film director Luchino Visconti which is now open to visitors, while in the other direction you can find the famous La Mortella Gardens, a large botanical garden which used to be the home of the Anglo-Argentinian couple of composer Sir William Walton and his wife, Lady Susana Walton.
With its position on the west coast of Ischia, the villa is also perfectly positioned to witness the stunning sunsets and to take advantage of the extra sunshine hours that Forio enjoys.
The villa itself has its own private driveway that leads down to the front gates of the property. The main building comprises three floors and upon entry you are taken straight into the living area with its beautifully-crafted curves and tasteful furniture before the eye is immediately drawn to the stunning landscape that seems to go on forever at the front balcony. The modern and stylish kitchen is well-equipped and leads out on to a typical Italian courtyard with a dining table and chairs.
