Ristorante Bar Dai Tu is a beach bar & restaurant situated right on the beach in Ischia Porto. The main building juts out to sea which means you can hear and feel the waves crashing around underneath you as you eat.
It's located in an incredibly panoramic position with sea views in every direction. Look one way and you can see the Italian mainland while if your turn your head slightly you can see the islands of Procida and Vivara. Most of the seats and tables are indoors but kept cool during the warmer months with the sea breezes flowing through the open windows. However, the most popular tables are those on the terrace that runs around the edges of the restaurant where you can sense the sea air even more.
As this is also a private beach establishment you can hire sun loungers and parasols if you want to make a day of it down by the beach. This is also a useful consideration for families with children as they can run around and play outside while the adults eat.
The menu is very much dominated by fish and pasta and determined to an extent by what's been caught that morning. Squid features heavily and one of the signature dishes is the lobster pasta. There are also some great desserts to choose from to round the meal off.

Directions:
To reach Dai Tu from Via Roma, walk all the way up the hill which shortly becomes Corso Vittoria Colonna. When you get to the square at the top, turn left and walk down to the sea. At the bottom of this road you'll have the Hotel Parco Aurora Terme on your left and if you go straight down to the beach and turn right you'll see Dai Tu in the corner, next to Ristorante Alberto.
