B&B I CINQUE SENSI
I Cinque Sensi translates in English as "The Five Senses" and it is this all encompassing feeling of pleasure that awaits visitors to this delightful little bed and breakfast in Ischia Ponte. As soon as you walk into the main lounge area you're hit with the magnificent vista of the sea which seems to be almost in the room with you. A quick peek out the window will bring into view the magnificent Castello Aragonese, the sixteenth century castle which is for many people the icon of Ischia.
The small road that leads down from the main square in front of the castle has regularly appeared on the big screen, most notably in films such as Cleopatra with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, and The Talented Mr Ripley featuring Jude Law, Matt Damon and Gwyneth Paltrow which was filmed just a few doors along.
At the heart of the feeling of wellbeing that I Cinque Sensi provides you with is the caring and friendly nature of the owner, Gina who speaks fluent English and gives you the warmest of welcomes into her home. The bed and breakfast is cosy with just one bedroom for guests as well as a main living area which shares those wonderful sea-views but there are so many nice touches such as the tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom as well as the home made jams which form part of the wonderful breakfasts served on the balcony overlooking the castle each morning.
Guests have their own private bathroom and there is WiFi throughout while the surrounding area is a joy to explore with its historic old town, shops and restaurants.

directions:
I Cinque Sensi is located close to the village centre in Ischia Ponte. When visiting on the day of arrival it's best to take a number 7 bus or a taxi from Ischia Porto, either of which take around 5 minutes to get to Ischia Ponte. The main road in Ischia Ponte is called Via Luigi Mazzella and the bed and breakfast is just off this road. Opposite the white church on the right hand side of the road is a small courtyard called "Largo Convento" where you'll see the Di Vino Wine Bar. The entrance to B&B I Cinque Sensi is in the left hand corner of this courtyard and up the stairs.
