Hello everyone! Christmas has crept up on us and with the big day almost arrived I'd just like to wish everyone a wonderful festive season wherever they may be. As with the rest of the world it's an extremely important time for friends and family in Italy and Ischia in particular. Many of the traditions are the same as those we practice in the English-speaking world but there are a few subtle differences. The main one for me is the extra date of January 6th which is known as La Befana, a day held with almost the same importance as Christmas and New Year, which makes the holiday period last just that big longer than in some other places such as the UK. Anyway, if I haven't said it already, Merry Christmas to one and all or Buon Natale, Auguri e Buone Feste a tutti! Ciao :-)
