Boats at La Scannella Bay in Panza

​Buona domenica a tutti! It's a gorgeous Sunday afternoon in Ischia, slightly cooler than it's been over the last few days which makes it pretty much ideal. The extraordinarily long dry spell has continued for yet another week and there's still no sign of any rain on the horizon which will no doubt please most visitors, if not my basil plants. Looking out as I do on to the bay of Citara in Forio I can see dozens of yachts have taken up the usual Sunday position, just in front of Poseidon Thermal Gardens. That particular spot is one of many around the island which are popular for their crystal clear, shallow water, perfect for taking a relaxing dip in, another one being the beautiful bay of La Scannella in Panza which is the subject of today's photo.
